Château de La Napoule

This morning we walked into the village for breakfast and went to the local supermarket to stock up the fridge. After everything was unloaded we went in search of the swimming pool, which is really nice and very tranquil! (I've posted a pic in my extras)

We then walked along the coast to Cannes La Bocca where there was the wreckage of a small plane on one of the jetties. There's a small airport at Cannes, so we assume it's crash landed into the sea and has been lifted onto the jetty as there was a large section of plane embedded into the beach!

When we got back to La Napoule, we went to the marina and had a drink before walking to the chateau. It's really impressive and was constructed in the 14th century by the Countess de Villeneuve. It's situated right on the beach so you can walk around the perimeter with the waves lapping at your feet.

According to my Apple Watch, we walked over 5 miles today, albeit at a steady pace, and the we went to the pool and I swam 10 lengths. My surgeon, Mr Zamitt said swimming would be good exercise for my arm, and I'm sure it is, but it was quite painful and there's still a lot of restricted movement. I'm sure it'll get easier!

Anyway, we're off for a walk now. Enjoy the rest of your day/evening x
