Bus stop

Something lonely looking about these bus stops situated opposite each other on this country road near Collieston.
Never mind people waiting at the stops foe a bus to come along, these look as if they are, sadly waiting for some people to come along and avail themselves of them.
Says on to the other, " How come you have a pavement and I don't?"
The other just smiles, passively.
