Taking Stock

Well my interesting week continues...

I saw on someone's Facebook page there was a vintage fair on in Saffron Walden today. I didn't make plans to meet up with anyone, as I never know from one day to the next whether I should be driving or not.

I woke with pins and needles all down my left-hand side but didn't panic. It was all fine by 10am so I got ready to drop Stella off at my parents and take Mum with me to the fair.

The first sign it was going to be a positive experience was finding a parking space on the first circuit of the car park. Never easy there on a Saturday! Would have been even better if my dyscalculia hadn't kicked in and I read the meter as £4 for 2 hours when it was actually only £2 for 4!

Although my trusty weather app threatened rain all morning and afternoon, the skies turned blue and stayed that way and off we strolled to the High Street.

Got part way round the stalls and someone said my name in a questioning tone. I looked up thinking someone from Facebook must have managed to recognise me but, even better than that, there in front of me stood a beautiful girl that used to call me her second mummy. I haven't seen her since her mum and I fell out almost 10 years ago.

She was running a vintage stall and seems to be doing really well; I was filled with pride and joy :)

Mum restrained me from buying much until I know exactly where I'm going to put the stuff I've already got in the new house but there were some lovely old cutlery sets, some still in their original boxes!

Driving home I saw brilliant clouds that looked just like Nessie but, so that bad luck balance with good, I hadn't got the camera with me.

I now have the makings of a migraine but the lovely day was worth it. Quiet nothing day due tomorrow I think.
