Villa Melzi

Today we went over to Bellagio for lunch at the Ristorante Bilacus. The restaurant is in the higher part of the village away from the lake. So far this is the best restaurant we have been to in Bellagio. It has a nice outside terrace overlooking one of the small pedestrian streets.

The photograph shows the Villa Melzi which we passed on the ferry on the way back to Lenno. The gardens of the villa are open to the public, though the villa itself is not open to visitors. The best time to see the gardens is late spring early summer.
