Japonica

Japonica reminds me of Mum.

I loved her minimalist floral arrangements with strong structural elements. Japonica was well suited and I have strong memories of Mum's artistic flair using it. It was probably the first to flower at the end of winter.

I walked around the block this afternoon. That's when I found this. I also removed weeds between the pavers in the courtyard and swept it. A bit of an effort but it's all progress.

What a stunning spring day. I'm glad I was able to get out and enjoy it.
