Ready to go....

Back to school is draining us. She whined about going, came out fairly grumpy. Though managed to tell me about the special afternoon assembly for the queen and that they'd learnt about other kings and queens too (as we arrived I could hear the whole school singing the national anthem...) And she told me that she'd not had any fruit snack though she did enjoy her lunch, but hasn't any reading yet. She didn't have a great day, friends wise, and scrubbed her knees in the playground. She was pleased to have her first afternoon with the second of the two teachers for this year. But didn't have much love for the day overall... "Year 1 is rubbish, the classroom is really small and doesn't have good things" she said.
Consequently she wasn't quite on form during swimming but it did some good and she came out with some smiles.
