Alvechurch
W slept badly due to pain in his foot, and disturbed me somewhat. Also due to the pain in his foot, the plan of walking to, and then round, the Botanic Gardens, had to be shelved. Instead, we had a slow start to the day, with a leisurely breakfast, followed by a gentle cruise to our final stopping place - Alvechurch.
When we moored up, we could hear the church bells, and we continued to hear them for ages - they were still ringing some considerable time later (enough time for a brew up) when I set off to walk into the village to buy some milk. I walked to the church, wondering if there was some function, but no sign of any activity in the church, so presumably just bell ringing practice.
Alvechurch is a lovely small town/large village. I took quite a few snaps, but I liked this one of the church tower peeking above the trees.
We have to hand the boat back tomorrow morning, between 0900 and 0930, so we have an early start - methinks an early night is in order.
