The Village Pond, Bearsted
The variable weather continued today with lots of cloud which then cleared to give lovely sunshine.
I spent the morning attending meetings; planning the agenda for the next governing body meeting at the primary school where I'm a governor then a trip to the nearby prison to meet with tutors to begin some planning to embed the learning environment that I've been working on for the last 18 months.
All this was over quicker than I anticipated so I was back home in time for lunch. The first part of the afternoon was taken up with a few computer activities and admin, including completing the application for a business account and designing an invoice.
By then the sun had come out, albeit with a cool breeze, so we took advantage and went walking, again via the pharmacist to pick up a prescription for Doreen. Unfortunately the wrong prescription had been processed so we had to take them back meaning we went in a different direction than planned via the Village Green which provided the opportunity for this shot. Another riparian scene!
A great day for the UK and the Queen in particular as she became the longest reigning monarch in British history this afternoon. I can understand the arguments about class, privilege and hereditary wealth and all that, but a president would never ever match up to the monarchy. Too much politics and as for wealth, well, plenty of people are becoming wealthy through the exploitation of others anyway.
