Susu.....

Susu is the spirit mother of my twin daughters....they think of her as their second mom and have always had a deep connection to her. She was there when they were born and has been there on the countless adventures they, and us, have taken! She is deeply loved and was a complete and utter trouper on this trip!

We had to get Bronwyn to the train very early today....then we headed off to do some shopping! I got the most amazing shoes i've ever worn in my life!!
Keens sandals ...oh....my....god.....they are heavely! a bit on the funky (read geeky) side...but they are purple!
i had developed so many blisters from the different sandals i had with me that i couldn't bare the idea of walking too much! With these new shoes i walked for hours and miles and not a blister in sight!!!

After some retail therapy, which had some very interesting moments, we headed for lunch! the strangest one was the moment Susan was basically put into a trance by some lovely young saleswoman, and bought a nail buffing system....way more money than it was worth. But the most amazing thing about this situation.....susan doesn't usually give a flying you know what about her nails! it was such an hysterical moment to see her turn into this weird sort of zombie and say.....oh i'll buy one of those! this story is probably only going to be funny to susan and the girls...and of course i'm still giggling!!!
