Club Triumph
We set off today with the two other cars in our group for the Club Triumph 10 Countries European run. Over the next 4 days we'll be doing a circle in Europe to the Czech Republic through Slovenia and back to the Netherlands (hopefully). There will be around 80 Triumph cars on the run.
We were running well until we hit Belgium today. Our car (still very much running in after an engine rebuild) started only liking a top speed of 60 - and slower going uphill. Many stops to tweak things under the bonnet and we're still running not brilliantly. More work to do before the start tomorrow. We even managed two punctures across the three cars today.
Still, it's all part of the fun and challenge and we have a great group to keep us laughing (and a bit of online support from our mechanic at home is much appreciated and beyond the call of duty).
Here we all are at Folkestone ready for the Channel Tunnel crossing.
