School Zone

It having been sunny, I captured this sign in front of my house in the sunlight, which I hadn't been able to do in the last few rainy days. This sign was newly built there while I was away from home, by the way.

The children depicted somehow look old-fashioned, especially because of the school cap the boy in the left puts on: it seems like a kind of school cap in use only for boys until more than a half century ago; most school boys today do not normally wear this kind of cap for commuting (there is another contemporary one in use, also for a girl, at elementary school). I don't know why the sign is still like this, but this has long been familiar to us now, no one may complain about this.
