Mono Monday : : Contrast

By the time we got home from a very nice neighborhood brunch in the garden by the creek, hosted by Rob and Jim who live across the street, the temperatures were approaching the predicted daily maximum .When I rested my ice water on the windowsill to check the outdoor thermometer, I thought the resulting shot was a pretty good contrast, and anyway it is just too hot to go outside for something better.
  
The shot is in perfect focus…that is just heat haze making it look blurry. Well, not really, but as I said…too hot to go outside ….
