Balsam and horsetail

Back home to find Mr P cannot walk because he has put his back out and the stop cock in the kitchen has a leak.  Went for a long walk on my own to look for a geocache and to make sure I reached 10,000 steps.  I saw forests of himalyan balsam most of the way, a patch of woods taken over by lesser horsetail - another invasive weed and finally found myself the wrong side of a high metal fence so could not get  to the cache. Reaching 10,000 steps was the only good thing about the walk!!!    Here the walk goes beneath a viaduct in a sea of balsam.
