Art or History?

I first noticed this in Hillside Crescent Gardens last Friday when the fire alarm turfed us out into the street, however, it was too wet to investigate what it was.

Anyway, since the weather was beautiful today, I had a wander along to suss it out. You need to turn the handle and after a few seconds there is a message saying to keep turning the handle until the message starts, so I did ... and this old lady's voice then started to remininse about bombs being dropped in Hillside Crescent during World War 2. There are a number of other messages to listen to, so I think I shall have a listen to the other messages in due course.

Art or History? I don't know, but it sure is fun!
