Bonus!

Another wet and windy day, but the bonus was a super rainbow at tea time.  We're back to waterproof jackets and trousers, fleeces and hats!  The poor garden is really suffering, there is still plenty of colour but everything is being battered and flattened.  Even the bamboo canes that are supposed to be supporting the plants are snapping in the wind!

The hens have gone into moult and are looking very sorry for themselves - not the time of year to be featherless!  A balding wet hen is a miserable sight!

Hoping that there might still be the chance of an Indian summer . . . I'm not putting my sandals away yet!
