Heartbeat

A busy morning taking in all the London sights - Buckingham Palace, changing of the guard, Big Ben and the houses of parliament, Westminster Abbey, Trafalgar Square before heading into Covent Garden for lunch and to rest our slightly weary legs!

We were greeted by 100,000 giant white balloons suspended from the ceiling of the Market Building. 54 meters long and 12 meters wide it weaves through the grand interior of the building and incorporates gentle pulsating white light to symbolise the beating of a heart and reflect the history, energy and dynamism of the district. The creator is French artist Charles Petillon.

"Their goal is to change the way in which we see things we live alongside each day without really noticing them."
