Produce

I've still not had the egg that our guests brought us last week, laid by one of the hens in their garden, but I did get to use the homegrown yellow courgettes they donated. Sliced really thinly with a vegetable peeler and marinated with some lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper and chilli flakes. Then spread on some parmesan-coated pizza dough I'd knocked up in the bread maker and topped with crumbled goats cheese. A few shredded basil leaved added to the mix when it came out the oven. Delicious, really! No photos obviously, but you can have that recipe on me.

In other news, no sooner has the festival finished and some semblance of order has begun than we found ourselves booking flights last night for our Easter jaunt to sunny climes and then today booking more flights for next summer holidays, like next July, for a trip accompanying my mum to the Loire Valley. France. July. Hmmm, can't complain. She wants someone to take her around the chateaux, who am I to refuse...
