sunset

back to the seaside. tonight we slept in a castle having ridden our bikes 6 or so miles along the prom, closed to motor vehicles, to preview the illuminations. its got a lot busier in the last 6 years!  thousands of people on bikes, penny farthings, pimped up dodgems, log flumes, trailers, prams, wheelchairs, scooters - all lit up with glowsticks and fairy lights. awesome! dylan was amazing keeping pace on his pedal bike, phil did a grand job towing callie in the croozer with lily on the seat up front (it was far too fast and overwhelming for her on her own bike). even i managed to get back in the saddle after a 6 year 'strike'. getting back with the wind in our faces was a challenge at times but they were all still wide awake at 11pm so we even managed a bottle of wine in the bar, listening to the cheesy band.
