Conundrum

The outside looking in- the juxtaposition of the old bit of George Square and a new featureless addition to the north. The University of Edinburgh have much to answer for on the architectural front.

With the Fireworks concert at the castle last night, the Edinburgh Festivals are finally over, the crowds have dispersed and we residents in the centre of Edinburgh can reclaim our territory.

We seem to be having something of a summer here at last with sun and temperatures which preclude the wearing of coats, although an accompanying umbrella is always a wise investment. Perhaps an Indian summer is on the cards. Better late than never.
