Wet weekend in Wigan

It's absolutely persisted down all blooming day today :-( I had plans to do quite a bit in the garden today, still have some plants in pots that need to go in now, together with some cutting back and repositioning.......fat chance!

Needed the brolly when we went for the papers......had a coffee, decided to do some indoors chores until it brightened up after lunch, when the "showers" stop.

They didn't........spent the afternoon downloading images from my camera onto the laptop and filing them away.

Still raining........decided to make pirri pirri chicken for dinner, with onion and mushroom rice, that passed the time a little. Ventured to the back door, still raining too hard to go out with a camera :-(

We had dinner, I checked up on other blippers, seems some people had dry weather, even sunshine!

As dusk,started to fall the rain finally eased off, so I dashed out into the garden, it was actually still spitting. If you look closely at this image, you can see where the raindrops are landing. I wasn't doing hand stands or anything crazy when I shot this. It just proves how much water there was sitting atop our garden table!!!!
