Oriental poppy

Today's the day ............................... to forget about the rain

We're a fickle lot round here.

It only takes a day like today - warm, sunny, blue sky - and we've forgotten about the cold, cloudy, lashing with rain sort of weather of a couple of days ago. And fortunately, it seems like the garden flowers are just the same.

These glorious oriental poppies opened themselves up in the sunshine - for all the world as if someone had just gone round and dabbed on a fresh bit of black paint to make them really stand out.
