Red-Wattled Lapwing (juvenile)
Possibly the type of bird I've followed the most from egg to adult, this is another Red-Wattled Lapwing juvenile, who was not scared of me at all and kept a beady eye on me in the Wadi, although in this shot looks as though he or she is hiding behind a lump of mud. They are a bird that tolerates photographers approaching them quite close, even when they are young, seemingly knowing that keen bird photographers only want a nice sharp picture and no harm will befall them. If only other birds were so amenable!
