A couple of days ago a 11-year old girl was hit by a sand truck - and was dangerously injured. The Police still investigates the happenings: The truck driver is shocked. Unfortunately the little girl died. I drove by the place today. Blipped this after some people left the place from praying.

What is the problem with the drivers?
Plenty of accidents or close shaves lately.

Tampere is a quiet city by it's traffic. It is easy to drive here, slow even and there is 40km/h in the accident area.
Ok, there is green lights simultaneously for turning cars and pedestrians, but to my mind it seems very possible to see someone in the junction this open.
Why was the truck driving through the city in the first place? Was a mobile phone in driver's hand? How the girl did not notice the double-truck? Why did the truck driver not let the little pedesrtian go first, as they both had green lights? Plenty of open questions...

Thank God it is friday anyway. So busy week.

My daughter game home in the afternoon. Quite exhausted she was after the orientation week of the university. They had had a party in thursday and a she has no real place to sleep, but a matrasse on the very club floor. She had drunk only 2 viders in the party, but had not slept at all. Well only at friday morning at 7am a couple of hours. With finally passed out people sleeping on the floors of the small club...

Hope the life settles down for her soon as she will have her own shared flat on tuesday.... :)

Yes, I had remote access day, and on my lunch hour I did pick her up from the railway station today and gave her firm lunch. After that she bursted telling memories from the partynight for a moment. Then left me and went into bed. Slept almost all the day, resting the evening and went normally into bed to have some more sleep. Tough young lady she is anyway.

ps beautiful aurora borealis here in the middle of the night. Extra shot from the lake near by, I almost missed the show... 15minutes later, it was all gone.
