Evening shades
The evening sunshine was late arriving, but when it came the varying shades of sunlight and shadow on the trees in a corner of the garden were reward enough.
I watched the reflections as the sun sank lower and the shadows became longer, making it difficult to judge just the right moment to capture the Blipfoto I envisaged.
As I watched an urban fox left a gap in the undergrowth and strutted across the garden, only to return moments later and disappear into the undergrowth from where it came. Although at that stage I was watching from a distance, I am sure the stealthy animal was aware of my presence. Nor was it staying long enough to be photographed!
Yet really the changing shades in the evening light was the reason I was there, so my mission was accomplished! Had the fox stayed long enough, my Blip would no doubt have been a lot different from simply admiring the effect of subtle and soft sunlight on the leaves of the trees and wondering just how many shades of green there were!
