Happy birthday to our eldest son James: handsome, clever, kind and funny, and off soon to start a new and exciting stage of his life at Durham University.  Your family are extremely proud of you. x

I was going to write down all the things you can now legally do, but when I googled it there were things on the list I hadn't thought of....so I thought best not.

James has gone into Cambridge with friends tonight.  As one of the very youngest in the year he's had to miss a lot of 18th birthday parties in bars/clubs as, until now, he wouldn't have been able even to get in.  

Celebrate well lovely boy and see you home on the dot of midnight :-)
