Holiday in the Rain

Following on from yesterday's deluge the rain continued in even greater intensity. After visiting the garden centre to buy some plants which I cannot put into the ground as it is waterlogged I made a brief visit to the seafront of Shanklin to see how the holidaymakers were faring.

You have to feel sorry for families who have probably spent a fortune on their annual holiday only to spend it soaking wet and cold huddled in their cars, shelters or amusement arcades trying to keep the kids happy.

I only spent about 10 mins. in the rain getting soaked before having to go home for a change of clothes. I thought this shot from inside a shelter summed up the day.
