Storm over Spithead

Dreadful start to the week with around twelve hours of serious rain. By bedtime my garden rain gauge was reading over two inches of rainfall

Just before the torrent arrived I had a quick walk along the beach at Seaview where the gathering clouds and rain were engulfing the Napoleonic forts and Portsmouth. the walk became a run as I just managed to get back to the car as the heavens opened.
