Holiday Fun

Really struggled to get up this morning. Got in at 8.20 & did fairly mundane jobs (but not scanning!) for a couple of hours. At lunchtime the heavens opened just as I wanted to try and do some birthday present shopping. I went from shop to shop but couldn't focus so went back to the office wet and empty handed.

I got most things done that I needed to do and left at 4.55 hoping to catch the 5 o'clock bus. The queue was already very long and after a while I got chatting to the lady in front of me. She'd been waiting since 4.40. Eventually a bus arrived at 5.35. What a bummer. I got home at 6.30 just as my wonderful Mollie was dishing up dinner. What am I going to do when she goes next week? :-'

After dinner, we zipped in to Cromer to buy chocolate and to spend some pennies (well 2 pennies to be precise) in the arcades. There was a lovely sunset, and a buzzing happy feel on the front, as people enjoyed the end of their holidays. It was nice to think we can do this anytime & still seems a bit unreal! Living by the sea (as near as dammit) Lucky us!

I've got the next 2 days off, to enjoy some time with the kids before they go back next week. Starting at 8.30 tomorrow with my first Dr appointment since I registered.

I just hope I can find my way there....
