Grey Heron

I  woke up to rain again this morning. And it rained for a good chunk of the long journey driving Mum back home. Horrible driving conditions and a truck, having spilled its load, added extra time to the journey again. But then the weather cleared and there was at last some sunshine! We enjoyed a walk around the lake at the end of the afternoon in relative brightness, watching grebes, swans with their teenage cygnets and a pair of grey herons. A lovely end to the afternoon. I was pleased that I managed to focus on this grey heron peering at me from amongst the reeds.

I make the journey back home again tomorrow but I'm very much looking forward to my blipmeet with Landscapeartist en route! :))

As ever, many thanks for all your encouraging comments, stars & hearts for my wet weather blips :))
