Blue Heron Takeoff

Just as the sun was setting last night, a blue heron flew in behind our home and landed in a very tall tree on the golf course.  He was perfectly balanced on the very top...and I was able to catch him as he took off.  So interesting to see him from this angle!

Another warm day in the Pacific NW, and more heat is predicted for today with wildfires still burning everywhere.  There is real concern for Washington state as high winds are also predicted and the fire near the Canadian border is only 15% contained.  Just heard that Australia is sending in firefighters to help with the efforts.
