It's all about the milk!

Neave is 2 weeks today and we celebrated by introducing the boob! The idea is to have some skin to skin time and pop her on around the time milk is given to her through the NG tube into her stomach. She had a couple of sucks and then fell asleep! I've been told that sucking & swallowing whilst breathing is a life skill that Neave needs to learn. Plus its very tiring, so I don't blame her for not going for it with full gusto when she already gets a tummy full through the tube without even trying.

And so begins the start of the slow process of nailing breastfeeding!
