Porty People and Nearby Places

I loved the reflection of the Edinburgh Festival Wheel in the window of this Old Town gift shop.

I had to battle through the throngs to get to the south side of the city to do some voluntary work with festival performers. It was almost impossible to move, at times, such was the sheer volume of people and the narrowness of the pavements! I have some sympathy with Lady Findhorn but still love the buzz and busyness of our city at this time of the year as I can retreat to the coast for some peace and quiet at the end of the day.
