Invader

I used to be infamous for stalking ladybirds.  I used to capture them wherever I went..... but this year they have been absent from my garden.

Early this morning I found a pretty little native ladybird under the leaves of my rosemary. My photos weren't clear and I went out to try again after I got home, and after the downpours.

But all I could find was this invader - blatantly out on a limb.  And no sign of my pretty little traditional one.

Oh no !  I owe this little one an apology.  She's British to the core - a 22 spot and the rarest of our yellow ladybirds.  Sorry little lady.
