Mono Monday . . . Balance

I did a quick brainstorm this morning about the term balance and went from scales - scales of justice - our courthouse - our police station has a balanced  façade.  Symmetrical balance is the most stable in a visual sense Wikipedia tells me.  The design for this building was planned to reflect the city's culture.  The architect wanted to have a balance between a hard working building and a building the community could take pride in.  The screen on the outside resembles a kite, a bird with outstretched wings and a cloak.  It symbolizes the role of the police to protect and defend the community.  The designs are laser cut into aluminum.  Thanks to The Aphid for the interesting and open ended challenges this month.
