Who's drunk all the water?

I was up and out early to avoid the crowds and the heat. I'd decided to walk around my local reservoir, which is a brisk 2 hour walk. Tittesworth Reservoir is just outside the town of Leek. 

I was surprised to see the water so low. Where I stood to take the shot is usually under water! In fct everything in the foreground  and almost up to the treeline is usually under water. I'm sure over the next few weeks it will begin to fill again.

The hills in the background are The Roaches, a favourite haunt of rock climbers. I've even done a few routes up there in my climbing days.
