Rings..

G's birthday today, lots of cards, lots of pressies, lots of phone calls and Skypes.

Went out for a walk this afternoon to Weavers bay, and around the headland to Lochan na Fionndalach Bige. A keeps telling us about some rings in the rocks that they used to tie boats up to. Apparently this spot is quite deep water, and it is where the boats were loaded after the clearances, transporting crofters to Canada and the USA.

It's been a lovely day, very warm (22 degrees), and a good breeze to keep the midges away.

Off out for a meal now..
