The Silver Mile...

was actually only a hundred yards or so long but in the time it took us to attend our business at Robert Smail's Printing Works, the line had filled up and disappeared. It was part of a fundraiser for St Ronan's Silver Band.
Innerleithen was en fête for Music Week, with the band performing (extra photo 1) and running a coffee morning, there were buskers of every instrument everywhere, including these inside the Tweeddale Thrift Shop (extra 2).
There was also a cross-country bicycle event so every now and then few muddy bikes would ride past to the carpark and their support vehicles.
We enjoyed the lovely, friendly atmosphere before returning home via a wander round Peebles.
