Summer Barbeque

The office where I used to work sadly closed it's doors for the last time yesterday and my friend and colleague M and her husband held a barbeque today for those who had worked with her over the last few years and very kindly included me and my husband even though I have been retired for well over a year now.

It was great to see everyone again, the food was fabulous, P was a hero standing over the hot barbeque on what must be one of the hottest days of the year and produced perfectly cooked sausages, delicious burgers, and juicy corn cobs, which was accompanied by all the usual gorgeous goodies.  All this was all enjoyed by us all in M's lovely garden, accompanied by much chatter and catching up with news and gossip...just lovely!

The perfect way to spend a summer afternoon!
