We've passed this on more than a few occasions but usually on foot and not always in such good weather. (On our first ever attempt we were sent home long before we got to this point by the National Park Rangers as the weather conditions were so poor!)

It is Ralph's Cross, one of the many way-markers on the Lyke Wake Walk which we have enjoyed doing with friends and family over the years.

Many memories conjured up, not least of Geoff, who got us all started on our first LWW and who's ashes are scattered nearby.
