Reflections at Bridge 63

On the Shropshire Union Canal.

I had a very welcome lunchdate out of work with fellow Blipper Redkite.  I had to return to work at 2pm though (not used to all this routine!) but after work I enjoyed a short walk on the upper end of the canal from Redkite's blip of today and loved the reflections cast from the old Talbot Wharf former Boatshed.
One of the narrowboats moored up must have strong connections with Gloucestershire (where I was born) and the sight of the flower box on top of the boat bearing the inscription 'Lister, FR2 Marine Engine.  R A Lister & Co. Ltd, Dursley, England'  brought back so many memories; one of which was when I saw Acker Bilk live in  the Lister Pump Rooms, Dursley circa 1959/60.  The Pump Rooms (now the Royal Lister Pump Rooms) still exist but Sadly Acker Bilk is no longer with us.
