Ding dong

The Longcross test track near Chobham in Surrey was today's destination, for a driving day organised by Kia for the Southern Group of Motoring Writers. They had a vast line-up of all the cars in their model range, and our members managed over 100 test drives during a long, busy day.

Hidden in the woods in the centre of the track, we spotted a quaint looking Poplar corner shop alongside a railway arch. It's part of a set for filming the popular TV series 'Call the Midwife', and I'll be looking out for it in the next series.

Lunch was a barbeque. Then came a ding dong surprise: Kia had organised an ice cream van to turn up and be a naughty temptation for dessert. Did I succumb to a 99? Yes, I'm ready to admit that I did!
