Work Has Begun...

...with removal of patio slabs and the drystone wall next to the borders, saving the stone for future use. The Contorted Hazel will follow soon.

We were astonished and horrified to learn that our slabs had been quarried in India, shipped to China for sorting/sizing then shipped to Europe to be laid in our garden. Had we known this when selecting them we would have opted for the composite material. Fortunately they should still be good for years to come.
