Thistle in the wind

Almost four years of staying here in the UK and I didnt know that thistles develop into these cottony things (i believe they are thistle seeds) at the end (or beginning) of its life cycle. I knew that dandelions also develop into those cottony states as well. Nature, it is just so amazing :)
