Heron double take

My parent's garden, the heron to the left of the picture is a pretend heron - that is supposed to discourage the real ones from eating the fish.  As you can see it's not much cop!

Dad is still weak - lots of time spent on the phone today telling people the news,  making re-arrangements and arrangements.  I've done a schedule of when friends/neighbours/ family are going to 'pop in' to check things are OK, provide meals and do shopping over the next few weeks...(Extra photo of Mum and Dad reviewing it)!

It makes me feel much better since I am going home tomorrow, desperate to see second son Ben who will be arriving back after a month in Cambodia.
