This is a slide rule possibly one of the most clever designs ever conceived, but now totally obsolete, incase your unaware of a slide rules function it can quickly multiply, divide, add, log, do exponents and find triganomic values. Now replaced with the modern calculator but still amazingly clever and still used by pilots! This is one I made today with a print out and laminator, its just quite nice to use one of these sometimes to make a change from a calculator for basic stuff or to check values. Anyway I'll be the smug one when the Iranians nuke us back to the stone age and calculators don't work. (Well unless someone has invented a valve operated calculator that is still in use? )
