Street scene

A long walk into town today via the local library. Quite a bit of shopping to do on behalf of Doreen as well as our own. Managed to fit in a coffee at Pop's though. I often wait here, watching people go by while Susan is in Boots. Very interesting to observe and listen to the odd snatches of conversation.

On the walk back we had to detour around a large tree which must have fallen overnight across the path. A later lunch but still time to work in the garden, weeding the beds (Susan) and cutting back foliage behind the greenhouse. Had a word with the new people in one of the gardens backing in to us about the state of his fence. He's coming around to have a look on Monday.

A lovely Saturday evening, not in our own place but up at Doreen's but we still managed to keep to the special Saturday evening experience.
