Carlton Buildings

To Hebden Bridge, on a route planning and research visit, ahead of a walk in a couple of weeks. This is the Carlton Buildings.  It was built by the Hebden Bridge Cooperative Society in 1889, who were declared bankrupt in 1967 after funds were embezzled by an employee. The cast iron bridge was a fire escape, from the days when the top floor was used a ballroom.
