Lego Choices
The weather has not improved much. TT went for a run in the rain, BB watched TV and I contemplated two weeks of rain, wind and cold. We headed to Holt again. The boys went for holiday haircuts, and as the rain was almost off, I went for a wander round the lovely wee town. I noted that Joules was selling a lot of wellies! Once the boys were done we headed to Adnams for a bottle of holiday gin, before finding an interesting café for lunch. We almost dared to sit outside – but we didn’t just in case.
BB had some holiday money burning a hole in his pocket so next stop was the toy shop where a Lego set was purchased – after much contemplation.
As the rain seemed to be off, though it was still very dull and grey we headed to one of TT’s favourite spots – Baconsthrope Castle – a ruin in an idyllic setting next to a mere. Apart from a swan family the mere was quite devoid of wildlife today – too cold for them probably.
Next stop was Itteringham, a lovely wee village where we spent a holiday a couple of years ago. After a wander round, TT enjoyed a cuppa from the wonderful village shop. We then headed home via Aylsham, pleased that we had been out and about despite the awful weather.
BB watched Star Wars 6 and I went for a wander round our village before eposode 2 of Wolf Hall.
Here is BB in the Lego shop!
