Do you know the piano's on my foot?

I was surprised to see it was 6.55 when I opened my eyes this morning.......I'd slept right through from 11.45pm, a rarity for me!!

We were down to three at the quiz last night; probably in the top half dozen, but no prize money this week!

After breakfast we loaded up the car with bedding and clothes that were ready to be transported back to daughters house. We also took lots of cleaning products, Hoover, feather duster, scrapper, scourers as we have spent all day round there. Two builders were just finishing off minor jobs today, the plumber was testing the boiler and putting the rads in, two guys putting down new decking in the garden, the three of us were mopping, wiping, sweeping everything in sight to get rid of the thick plaster dust that has coated everything!

After 6 hours hard graft, we had it looking sort of shipshape. Daughters new cleaner came to help this afternoon as well.......! Emilys room is liveable, her bed made, toys moved in:-). Daughters new bed was delivered......a job and a half to get it up the stairs, but the 3 guys managed it between them, just!!!! Their new kitchen and wardrobes have also been delivered, they will be fitted next week. It will need many more hours of mopping and dusting before it's spick and span.....but it's a start..........and my goodness are we cream crackered now!!!!

Anyhow, you might be wondering about this blip.......?! You might recall I mentioned in an earlier blip that my mum played the piano at the Free Trade Hall, which used to be the home of the Manchester Philharmonic Orchestra, before it closed and transferred to the newly built Bridgewater Hall. Well, Mum found this recently, it's her certificate which details her passing her piano forte exam at the age of 11.........some 71 years ago!!! I said to her that we should get it framed......it's a shame it's got quite tatty around the edges.

Mum still tinkles a little, but on a keyboard that we gave her.....but it's not the same as a piano, as she constantly reminds us ;-)

Think we will be stiff as boards in the morning...I'm seizing up whilst I've been typing this!!!!
