Flashback

..... to the mountains.

Linaria alpina, a tiny snap-dragon, is common in rocky places through the Alps and Pyrenees, often seeming to grow completely without soil.  I raised this one from seed and after a slow start it is now flourishing.  The last time I got this close to one in the mountains it glistened with water from melting snow!
